So what is this site you ask? Who are you?  Are you really Greedy? Do you Travel? Are you from the Toon?

All very valid questions, so this is my opportunity to introduce myself and tell you why I set up this Blog. So firstly lets answer those questions: Its my blog about Restaurants and Bars in Newcastle Upon Tyne (but often venturing further afield); I’m GreedyToonTraveller (or GTT); I’m not really greedy but I do have an appetite to eat in new and interesting restaurants and drink in a variety of bars; I do travel both with my work but also with my family (more on them later); I live and work in the Toon (Newcastle Upon Tyne for those not from around here)!!!!

So there you have it, a very short and sweet introduction to me and a little bit of an idea of what you are likely to find here. As I mentioned above I love finding new places to eat and drink but I also like unearthing little gems that have been around for a while. I often eat with my family which consists of Mrs ToonTraveller (long suffering) and mini ToonTraveller (8 at the moment).
